What Jaypaper processes
Jaypaper performs Voice Activity Detection (VAD) on the audio signal from your Amazon Connect calls. We process:
- Speech presence (is someone talking?)
- Silence duration and patterns
- Crosstalk detection (both parties talking simultaneously)
- Energy levels and timing patterns
What Jaypaper stores
We store acoustic features derived from call audio:
- Timing data (when speech starts and stops)
- Energy level measurements
- Contact identifiers and agent identifiers (operational metadata)
- Call start/end times and duration
What Jaypaper does NOT store
- Audio recordings
- Transcripts or text of any kind
- The content or meaning of conversations
- Customer personal information from calls
- Agent personal information beyond operational identifiers
Audio is analysed in real-time and immediately discarded. The “meaning” of a call is never captured.
Data location and access
Your audio data stays in your AWS account as a Kinesis Data Stream. Jaypaper has read-only, cross-account access to that stream via a scoped IAM role that you control. You can revoke access at any time by deleting the CloudFormation stack or removing the IAM role.
Account information
When you sign up for Jaypaper, we collect your email address, company name, and AWS account information needed to configure the service. This information is used solely for service delivery and communication about your account.
Data retention
Acoustic feature data is retained while your account is active. Upon cancellation, all stored data is deleted within 30 days.
